Vijay Lakshman, President/CEO - With more than 18 years of video game development, production and management experience, Vijay Lakshman is Brilliant Entertainment’s President and CEO. In this role, Mr. Lakshman oversees the production, operations and management of Brilliant’s marquee development catalog and consulting services.
Prior to forming Brilliant, Mr. Lakshman was Vice President of Production for Turbine Entertainment. At Turbine he oversaw the development of the recently released, Dungeons & Dragons ® Online, and the hotly anticipated title, The Lord of the Rings™: Middle-Earth™ Online.
Prior to Turbine, Mr. Lakshman was vice president of production/internal development for Vivendi Universal Games (VUG). In that role, Mr. Lakshman had responsibility for nearly a dozen mega-franchises and 40 skus – including The Lord of the Rings, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.
Mr. Lakshman has held senior management positions with Bootprint Entertainment (GT Interactive), FASA Interactive Technologies, LookingGlass Technologies, Magnet Interactive Studios and Bethesda Softworks.
Mr. Lakshman attended George Washington University, where he earned his B.B.A in Business and Information Technology, and graduated from Harvard Business School in May 2006.
Alexander D. Ferguson, Advisor - Mr.
Ferguson has over 18 years of real-world experience in designing and
implementing complex global information environments, networks and total
business information solutions. He was
the lead architect and technologist for global environments including the State
Department, Interagency Collaboration Zone, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration’s
global communications networks.
In
addition, Mr. Ferguson has been a CIO level consultant to the Executive Office
of the President of the United States, MD Anderson Cancer Center,
the “NIC” of the Defense Data Network (NIC.DDN.MIL), Giga Information Group,
and many others. Mr. Ferguson has
demonstrated his ability to engineer enterprise solutions in an effective,
results-driven manner.
In the Washington
Metropolitan Area, where technologists abound, Washington Technology magazine
noted Mr. Ferguson as one of the area's notable technology entrepreneurs and
futurists. In addition, Mr. Ferguson was
chosen and profiled as Contract Professional Magazine’s “All-Star” technologist
for January 2002, and is currently enrolled in Harvard Business School’s OPM (Owner/President
Management) program with an expected graduation of March 2008.
